AMEXTRA supports the ban on pesticides and the promotion of bio-inputs

In the Asociación Mexicana de Transfomración Rural y Urbana (AMEXTRA), we consider it of vital importance to address the impact that pesticides and fertilizers generate in the Mexical fields. We promote various programs in high marginalization rural communities in Chiapas, for the care of health and the environment. That is why we have joined the Position in favor of the creation of a national program for the progressive prohibition of dangerous pesticides and promotion of bio-inputs, contained in the Opinion with Poryect Decree to reform the General Health Law.

In addition, we celebrate that a specific space for the analysis and discussion on pesticides and fertilizers in our country is promoted from the Senate of the Republic, where different expert voices will beheard with the participation  of the different sector (Productive, Academic, Governamental and Organized Society) that can open a dialogue on a productive agenda.

We invite the public to inform themselves about the issue, participate and join this or other initiatives that improve the quality of people’s life and the care of the evironment in Mexico.
