Karina Hernández is the deputy director of Amextra Finanzas. She joined this financial institution 19 years ago and today, shares with us her experience in this long journey, in this space of “Voices in transformation”, through his testimony of life. Well, she has had the opportunity to train in financial matters, but she has also worked and strengthened his companionship and above all, his leadership, which has helped him to enhance the skills of the entire team in his charge and thus contribute to Amextra’s philosophy: integral transformation.
For Karina, being part of the Amextra family is a great commitment, thanks to her work with the team, has generated the capacity to recognize herself as a person who helps society, dedicating herself with love to his work, organization and community.
Along the way, his experience has left him with a positive impact on a personal level and she has also become aware of a great difference between, serving in community processes, and giving social assistance; the latter prevents people from identifying their capacities and rights.
“Before joining Amextra I was aware that people are constantly undergoing transformation processes, which are observable in others. But I was confused when it came to integral transformation issues, because it was complicated to understand: What was different from what I already knew?”
Who am I? What do I do with what I am and what I have? And how does God participate in the recognition of these questions, in my daily work? How to allow others to discipline me, accompany and guide me? What do I do with what they give me, how do I share it with others?; It was what Karina questioned when she began to live it, with the presence of others that it generated in her consciousness of understanding, as well feeling listened to and encouraged to participate.
During the processes of integral transformation she was able to strengthen his ability to listen, motivate others to make decisions and, above all, to assume responsibility for their actions.
“I recognized that I am a person with weaknesses to work and strengths to potentialize. That nothing I am or do has meaning without the presence of other people in my life. And especially, the presence of God in my life allows me to walk calmly, even in the midst of tribulation in personal matters, as professionals”.
There are many experiences and moments that have marked Karina’s life, that have shaped her into the person she is now, that have nurtured her in knowledge and faith; therefore, she knows that integral transformation is a continuous process, which will always bring her new learning.
“At Amextra we work with people and for people, in communities with different lifestyles and ways of life, all of them admirable, that without family or support struggle every day to grow, for moving forward, relying on their faith to give their best; those who love and surround him” People with whom Karina has identified, who, like her, have found meaning in their live through their service. A space where we are fortunate to meet people who, through their words, guidance and accompaniment, model their faith and strengthen their own.
“Each path traveled in Amextra in different times and moments for me, has been a turning point, a continuous, reflective, challenging learning, sometimes frustrating, but in a greater measure of gratitude for the grace that God gives through those experiences”.
Being part of Amextra has given her the opportunity to participate in the integral transformation processes of the beneficiaries, participants or clients: “it is a blessing”; because the activities are carried out in a space of compassion, justice and equality, for others, but also for oneself. Respecting the different ideas and points of view, because by living with the multicultural beneficiaries, they teach them to be sensitive to their ways of life, listen to their needs and, in the way in which they themselves, with the support of the Amextra team, can move forward.
“Thanks, because you have allowed me to find a spiritual, personal, family and professional balance that together allow me to participate in this great mission. May each completed year be another year of blessing for each person who directly or indirectly participates in Amextra.
Thanks to God and to all the people who have done and are doing this great mission of promoting with us the integral transformation in marginalized communities in Mexico, places with constant challenges, but improving with love from those we are helping as well as those receiving the service”.
Thank you very much Karina for these 19 years of unconditional service! Thank you for your dedication, reflection and for living the integral transformation in all aspects of your life. Thanks to you we continue “changing lives, transforming communities”.
